For 30 years since the civil war our fathers have migrated from Somalia which resulted in our family having children in every country on earth. Children that were born during the Somali civil war including me have always asked themselves, who are we? Who are our forefathers? And we have always lacked the feeling of belonging somewhere or better yet the
knowledge of our history.
First I would like to introduce myself, I’m Mustafa ibn Mohamed ibn Abdulaziz Bana Haddad ibn Mohamed ibn Haddad(Hindi). Growing up I was one of the many who always wondered and searched about our family history. Then I contacted (my grandfather’s brother)Professor Ikar Bana Haddad Mohamed ibn Haddad (Hindi). Because he is the one person in the family who is always curious and kept all the information regarding our family. He travelled around the world to gain knowledge. Professor Ikar, just like his brothers, fathers and grandparents is a Banadiri Reer Hamar, and lived in Hamar Wayne, Mogadishu. He is a professor of art, handcraft and history.
Mohamed ibn Haddad was a Yemeni importer and exporter, He was from Quten, Mukala, Hadhramout, Yemen. He used to import and export to India, therefore he was given the nickname al-Hindi, Mohamed Haddad Alhindi.
Mohamed ibn Haddad (Hindi) then moved to Marka, a port city on the Banadir coast, he got married there and had 4 children. He had 4 children: Ahmed, Amina, Osman and Haddad Mohamed ibn Haddad Hindi. Haddad and Osman left for Mogadishu while Ahemd and Amina remained in Markka
The family of Aba sheikh can trace their ancestors back to one of Haddad’s children. Our focus here is on Haddad Mohamed ibn Haddad, Haddad had married Aye Fayla Amin Sufi of the family Amin Sadiq, he had 7 children: Tahir, Kuuso, Faay, Ooto, Sawad, Shikha And Ahmed/Bana Haddad Mohamed Haddad ( Hindi).
Since Mohamed ibn Haddad’s migration to Somalia, 8 generations were born, lived, studied and worked in various cities in Somalia. We have always contributed in the future of Somalia and we are still doing so.
In conclusion, first and foremost we are Hanafi Muslims who always worship Allaah SWT, second we are Banadiris. Yes at some point we migrated from Yemen, for example the ancestors of Saudis and Omanis at some point migrated from Yemen too.

أولاً ، أود أن أقدم نفسي ، أنا مصطفى بن محمد بن عبد العزيز بنا حداد بن محمد بن حداد (هندي). كبرت كنت واحدًا من الكثيرين الذين يتساءلون ويبحثون دائمًا عن تاريخ عائلتنا. ثم اتصلت (شقيق جدي) بالبروفيسور إيكار بنا حداد محمد بن حداد (هندي). لأنه الشخص الوحيد في العائلة الذي لديه فضول دائمًا ويحتفظ بجميع المعلومات المتعلقة بعائلتنا. سافر حول العالم لاكتساب المعرفة. البروفيسور إيكار ، تمامًا مثل إخوته وآباء وأجداده هو بناديري رير هامار ، وعاش في هامار وين ، مقديشو. وهو أستاذ في الفنون والحرف اليدوية والتاريخ.
كان محمد بن حداد مستورداً ومصدراً يمنياً ، وهو من قطن ، المكلا ، حضرموت ، اليمن. اعتاد الاستيراد والتصدير للهند ، فأطلق عليه لقب الهندي محمد حداد الهندي.
ثم انتقل محمد بن حداد (هندي) إلى ماركا ، وهي مدينة ساحلية على ساحل بنادير ، وتزوج هناك وأنجب 4 أطفال. أنجب 4 أبناء: أحمد وأمينة وعثمان وحداد محمد بن حداد هندي. غادر حداد وعثمان إلى مقديشو بينما بقي أحمد وأمينة في ماركا
يمكن لعائلة أبي الشيخ تتبع أسلافهم إلى أحد أبناء حداد. ينصب تركيزنا هنا على حداد محمد بن حداد ، وقد تزوج حداد أي فيلة أمين صوفي من عائلة أمين صادق ، وله 7 أولاد: طاهر ، كوسو ، فاي ، أوتو ، سواد ، شيخة وأحمد / بنا حداد محمد حداد (هندي).
منذ هجرة محمد بن حداد إلى الصومال ، ولدت 8 أجيال وعاشت ودرس وعملت في مدن مختلفة في الصومال. لقد ساهمنا دائمًا في مستقبل الصومال وما زلنا نفعل ذلك.
في الختام ، أولاً وقبل كل شيء نحن مسلمون حنفيون نعبد الله سبحانه وتعالى ، وثانياً نحن البناديريون. نعم في وقت ما هاجرنا من اليمن ، على سبيل المثال ، هاجر أسلاف السعوديين والعمانيين في وقت ما من اليمن أيضًا.
